The eternal gym battle is whether you should complete a workout in the morning or in the evening – and everyone has a different answer depending on who you ask. There are a lot of arguments on both sides, but working out in the morning always comes up trumps! Why? Well, working out in the morning is just better – and it’s not a scientific reason, but it’s one that many use!
Whether you work out in the morning or the evening, you are getting in your exercise and that’s the most important piece of the puzzle. You also will find that you are going to burn the calories and feel good no matter the time of day. But why is there even a debate if it doesn’t matter? Well, your Chiropractor may tell you the benefits for you pertaining to the back pain that you are dealing with, but it’s so important that you know what they are for yourself. So, with this in mind, here are four reasons that you should work out in the morning.
- Self-Discipline. You should consider that it’s very hard to motivate yourself to work out when you’re exhausted at the end of the day. Waking up you may be equally as tired, but you can really build your own self-discipline when you work out first thing in the morning. You can get into the habit of getting up and completing your workout and it becomes your routine, easy to complete and you’re happier to do it as a result. Facing small adversities such as rolling out of bed to work out doesn’t mean that you won’t do it: it just means that you will be more prepared for a day ahead if you start with self-discipline.
- Start with Winning. Starting your day by winning at working out is a good way to start. You need to give your body a chance to rev up in the morning to face your desk at work. A workout allows you the chance to get motivated nice and early, and it can help you to start your day feeling like a winner! You can push yourself and once you complete it, you begin your morning feeling like a winner!
- An Advantage. How many people do you know get up and start their day out in a competition? You will feel refreshed, revived from the night and ahead of your game when you workout in the morning and while it may seem like hard work to get up and go, you will be so happy you did it. You get those endorphins going and you can ensure that you are ahead of your colleagues, too! You’ll get up feeling good, and they may miss out on that!
- No Excuses. It’s so hard to get to the gym in the evening. You’re tired. You have a headache. You had a long day. You forgot your stuff. It all adds up and you can give yourself all the excuses in the book – and you’ll skip the workout. There is none of this in the morning as the day has only just begun. You can take the time to get it right when you start the day in the morning, and you don’t get that same refreshed feeling at night!
