Yogi Berra once said that “80% of the game is half mental.”
Like all of his famous quotes, it doesn’t make sense, and yet you still understand what he meant when he said it. he was naturally talking about the sport of baseball at the time, but he may as well have also been speaking about building muscle.
It’s easy to think that building muscle is all about what we do physically, as the reps, sets, and workout programs, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
The real power or hindrance is all in the mindset, or actually the “heart set” of how you feel about your training and the goal to build muscle.
