Building self-confidence is a crucial ingredient for fitness success. Whether you want to lose weight, build muscle or improve performance, a healthy belief in your ability to accomplish your goals will help you more than any supplement or program.
But what if you’re lacking in the self-confidence and self-esteem department? Facing that sort of situation is kind of a catch-22 because a lack of health and fitness can contribute to poor self-confidence while a lack of self-confidence can handicap health and fitness. It’s a vicious cycle.
Fear not my friend because I too have long suffered from self-confidence issues and low self-esteem. I understand what it’s like to be filled with self-doubt and negative thoughts that undermine you best of intentions.
I’ve learned a lot about building self-confidence when it comes to fitness and I want to share what I’ve learned with you in this week’s episode of the Red Delta Project Podcast. In this week’s episode, I cover topics which include:
- Why anyone can be healthy and fit regardless of age, gender, history or economic situation. You don’t have to be lucky or special to get in shape.
- Why a little self-doubt is a good thing and how being 100% confident will actually hold you back and prevent you from making progress.
- How to learn how to trust yourself even when you’re not entirely sure you know what you’re doing and why the experts don’t fully understand what’s best for you either.
