Even now, this car is still getting me further ahead than my last workout
The fact of the matter is that almost all diet and exercise methods are not really all that effective.
Even the worlds best methods don’t stack up on the whole effectiveness scale.
No matter how hard you work or how hard you apply yourself you cannot expect to get much in the way of results from any single method within a short period of time.
Just think of all of the other things in life that are far more effective;
Small pox vaccine?
One shot and you’re done.
Tire rotation for your car?
An hour or so in the shop and things are all set.
Killing off hunger or thirst?
Just $20 at a food cart will take care of that for you.
But losing weight, getting stronger or improving performance?
Sorry, but no diet or exercise strategy is going to be all that effective. In fact, even the results of doing the “best” exercises are going to produce the most minute improvements at the end of a workout. And skipping that pizza joint and grilling up some organic salmon once in a while won’t really do much for you either.
This is why consistency is so incredibly important.
Nothing is effective enough to be of value if it’s done once in a while. But on the other hand, consistent action can take even the world’s worst exercises and greatly improve their value towards your goals
So even if you are having trouble staying consistent do small things consistently. Those will add up and provide you with much better results in the long run then large amounts of efforts done inconsistently.
Consistency makes all things effective, and a lack of consistency will make even the best methods fail.
