Emotional eating has gotten a bad reputation within our fitness culture. Largely because it’s highly misunderstood.
Emotional eating is often see as something bad and thus you should fight against it, but this can cause more harm than anything else for the following reasons:
– It’s impossible not to eat on an emotional level.
– The healthiest diets are emotionally driven.
– Learning about emotional eating means you put the biggest and most powerful aspects of healthy eating in league with your goals.
Your emotions are like the waves that crash into the beach. You can’t stop them, nor can you do much to control them. Trying to do either will result in long term failure. However, if you learn to use those waves or emotions you can harness them for your benefit rather than a life long struggle sure to end in failure.
