I just found this infographic over at www.nutmeg.com and had to share it with you.
Here at the R.D.P just getting in shape isn’t enough. We’re all about doing it in an efficient manner so you get the most benefit from the lowest lifestyle costs.
This little graphic showcases some of the most cost effective means to burn calories.

Take note that some of the most efficient methods are body weight based exercise.
It’s an interesting graphic but there are a few things to consider:
– Each of these numbers is a pure gues-timate. For example the cycling exercise is rated for going faster than 20 mph. There are a host of things such as wind, tire pressure and elevation changes that can greatly increase or decrease that number.
– There are other lifestyle costs other than money to consider such as time to get ready for the activity and how much effort you have to spend to motivate yourself to do it. Just because running ranks high that doesn’t mean it’s the best exercise for you. Be sure to take your personal preferences and desires into account.
– Ultimatly the most efficient way to stay lean is to keep the calories from coming into your body in the first place. Eating less is by far the most time efficient and cheapest way to burn off a few hundred calories.
